Forecast Discussion: 7/20 - The center of high pressure will move offshore on Friday but will continue to influence the weather for the Garden State. Another day of pleasant weather is expected with sunny skies, low humidity, and easterly winds. These conditions will allow ozone to rise into the upper moderate range for northern New Jersey and along the I-95 corridor with the possibility of levels reaching the USG category in isolated locations. Levels of fine particulates will remain in the good category. 7/21 - A coastal low pressure system is forecast to impact the region on Saturday with periods of heavy afternoon/evening rain and scattered thunderstorms as well as a strong onshore flow. These conditions will allow air quality to return to the good category state-wide. 7/22 - Mostly cloudy skies, rain showers, and a continued onshore flow will allow air quality to remain in the good category throughout New Jersey. 7/23 - Good air quality is forecast on Monday with cloudy skies, periods of rain, and an onshore flow.
