Forecast Discussion: Updated Friday, December 6, 2019 What a difference a day makes in the world of weather forecasting. Yesterday’s dry forecast for this weekend and early next week has taken a wetter turn. The latest forecast model runs bring additional atmospheric moisture and rain to the local area. The showers are now projected to start Saturday night and continue (in a scattered fashion) into Sunday morning with additional chances for showers late Sunday into early Monday as the main trough moves through. While this weekend’s weather won’t be a washout compared to our recent past weather events, it will still provide more opportunity for ground stabilization and as such the forecasted PM10 levels are lower for Sunday and early next week. Good air quality is forecast for all pollutants for the foreseeable future. Enjoy the good air quality! Forecaster: S. DiBiase |
