Forecast Discussion: Air quality for today is in the ‘Moderate’ category. Today, scattered showers and thunderstorms after noon. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Areas of smoke. Partly sunny, with a high near 77°F. Northeast wind 7 to 16 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

This evening, isolated showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Areas of smoke. Partly cloudy, with a low around 42°F. South southeast wind 7 to 11 mph becoming north in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

NOTE: Air quality is likely to change drastically with slight changes in fire behavior and weather conditions.

ALSO NOTE: Most areas of the state do not have air quality monitors, so people are encouraged to be cautious if visibility is affected due to smoke and particulates from wildfires. If visibility is reduced to less than eight miles, sensitive groups should limit activity. If visibility is reduced to less than three miles, air quality is considered unhealthy for everyone and people should avoid heavy work or exercise outdoors.
