Forecast Discussion: Ozone reached moderate levels in some locations on Monday, and many more on Tuesday, especially in southern Indiana. There were a few moderate PM2.5 readings on Monday, and a much more widespread moderate episode on Tuesday, again in southern Indiana. A cold front will sweep across the state today, ushering in a cool, dry air mass. Indiana will be stuck between an eastern Canadian trough and a Central Plains ridge through Friday. This will mean a northerly flow of air, which will drop the humidity and dew point values significantly. Dew points will be in the upper 50s, while humidity will drop into the low 40’s by Friday afternoon. High temperatures will range from the mid 70’s in central Indiana to the low 80’s in southern Indiana. The lower humidity values might just be enough to result in some low moderates for ozone on Friday in southern Indiana.
