Forecast Discussion: On Saturday, a few morning showers will pass giving way to a pleasant day in the state of Delaware. Mostly cloudy skies will clear by lunchtime allowing temperatures to rise into the upper 80’s °F. Strong westerly flow will bring a much less humid air mass into the state. Mostly sunny skies and average temperatures combined with a westerly flow will allow ozone to rise to the Good/Moderate threshold for Saturday. Particles will remain well within the Good range. **Extended Forecast: A cooling trend will begin on Sunday as upper air transport will bring a cool dry air mass from southern Canada. Clear skies throughout the day and calm/light winds at the surface will allow for some ozone formation but temperatures falling into the low 80’s °F and northwesterly flow will keep ozone and particles in the Good range. Monday will be slightly cooler with temperatures in the upper 70’s °F. Light winds in the morning will increase in the afternoon as rain showers become more likely. Once again, clear skies will allow for ozone formation but below average temperatures will limit ozone to the upper Good range. -Enlow
