Forecast Discussion: It will be a mixed weekend weather-wise for the Delaware Valley. Saturday will be another day of possibly record-breaking warmth ahead of a strong cold front arriving in the early evening. Gusty winds and a line of thunderstorms ahead of the front will ventilate the atmosphere and keep air quality in the Good range. Temperatures will drop back to around average for late February on Sunday, as a seasonably cool and dry winter air mass briefly builds into the forecast area, for continued Good air quality. On Monday, another warm-up will begin, although it will not be as mild as it has been this week. Southerly winds will provide enough mixing, especially in the afternoon, for daily average particle concentrations to remain inside the Good range. **Extended Forecast: Tuesday will be even warmer than Monday, with increasing clouds and a chance for rain showers. Southerly onshore transport will keep particles in the Good range. -Huff
