Forecast Discussion: A cold front will slowly move through the Philadelphia metropolitan area on Tuesday. Showers associated with the front will begin overnight and taper off in the morning, with gradual clearing by the late afternoon. Ozone and particles will remain in the Good range. **Extended Forecast: A period of unsettled weather will begin on Wednesday and continue through at least the end of the work week as an upper level low pressure system stalls over the eastern U.S. There may be a brief period of clear skies on Wednesday morning, but otherwise it will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Periods of heavy rain are possible on Thursday. Overcast skies and a shift to strong onshore transport associated with the upper level disturbance will push ozone and particles lower into the Good range. -Huff
