Forecast Discussion: FORECAST SUMMARY: Monday, January 26th, 2015 through Monday, February 2nd, 2015 PM-2.5: 24-hour Fine Particulate concentrations are expected to be generally Good to Low Moderate through the forecast period… FORECAST DISCUSSION: Temperatures will remain below normal through the forecast period. High pressure will filter into the area during Tuesday. Light southerly winds may allow some creep of fine particulates into the Low Moderate range by Wednesday. Wednesday will also provide increased cloudiness in advance of a clipper system which will affect the area throughout the day on Thursday. Colder air will filter in behind the clipper to clean out the air during Friday. Light winds shift back to a southerly component during Saturday for the next most likely day for any noticeable PM-2.5 creep. During Sunday, the return of colder air, borne on northwest winds, will flush out any higher readings for the remainder of the weekend. EXTENDED FORECAST: Air Quality should remain mostly Good into the next week. Forecast updated by Jim Haywood: Monday, January 26th, 2015 Next forecast update: Monday, February 2nd, 2015
