Forecast Discussion: USG ozone conditions are expected Wednesday. Hot temperatures around 90F and light winds will foster ground-level ozone generation on Wednesday with concentrations nearing USG, “code orange” levels. On Thursday a weak cold front moves through the state bringing cleaner northerly winds, but with ample sunshine and temperatures remaining above normal, ozone concentrations will remain near the Good/Moderate threshold along the I-95 corridor and in the upper Good range elsewhere. Winds subside again under high pressure on Friday with ozone recovering into the Moderate range for most areas. - MDE
