Forecast Discussion: High pressure is overhead and in control Friday and as a result, light, recirculating winds will allow slight increases in ozone and particle pollution. However, with continued below average temperatures and excellent thermal mixing, Good air quality is expected, except for fine particles in the Hagerstown valley, which may stay in the low Moderate range. Winds stay light over the weekend resulting in low-end Moderate ozone AQI for the urban corridor on Saturday, with more widespread Moderate conditions on Sunday. Particles will also remain near the Good/Moderate threshold Saturday and Sunday. - MDE
