Forecast Discussion: Labor Day, partly cloudy skies will suppress ozone formation throughout Louisiana. However, light to moderate southerly winds will transport Saharan dust into Louisiana, increasing particle concentrations throughout most of the state. As a result, AQI levels will be Good to low-Moderate throughout Louisiana. Tuesday and Wednesday, partly cloudy skies will continue to inhibit ozone formation, and light to moderate southerly winds will disperse pollutants. These conditions will yield Good AQI levels throughout Louisiana on both days.
