Forecast Discussion: Wednesday will start off with a chance for rain in the morning. Temperatures look to get with 5 degrees of the dewpoint, so might have some fog development, especially in the south where the humidity is higher, winds are lighter and the chance of rain ends earlier in the morning. We could see some moderate hourly readings for PM2.5. Winds pickup throughout the day and be out of the northwest, with 5-15 mph winds in the south and 15-20 mph winds, with gusts to 30 mph, in the central. Temperatures will be 55 central to 60 south. Thursday, high pressure settles in over southern Indiana. Winds will generally be out of the northwest between 5-15 mph, with higher gusts possible during the midday in central Indiana. These winds calm down during the nighttime hours. Temperatures will be from 55 central to low 60’s south. On Friday morning there could be a brief period of fog in the south, so could see higher PM2.5 readings there. The high pressure shifts to the east, and a frontal boundary moves in from the south. Rain is likely in the south Friday night, with only a chance on rain in the central regions. Light winds will generally be out of the south. Temperatures will be from 55 central to 65 south.
