Forecast Discussion: Air quality forecast northern Indiana issued Friday, October 24, 2014 for Saturday, October 25 - Monday, October 27. Expect good air quality for fine particulates (PM2.5) for Saturday as the wind direction becomes northwesterly. PM2.5 concentrations will begin to increase by Sunday evening/night as the wind direction changes to a southeast to southerly direction and then to a southwest direction by Monday morning. As a result, the air quality forecast for Sunday/Monday is for moderate levels of PM2.5. The next air quality forecast update will be on Monday. Air quality forecast provided by IDEM, Office of Air Quality.
