Forecast Discussion: Monday, moderate to strong northwesterly winds behind a departing cold front will disperse pollutants and transport clean, dry air into Louisiana. These conditions will limit particle production, resulting in Good AQI levels statewide. Tuesday, surface high pressure building into the southern Plains will produce light to moderate north-northwesterly winds in Louisiana, dispersing pollutants and keeping AQI levels Good across the state. Wednesday, light to moderate southeasterly winds will develop as another cold front approaches Louisiana from the northwest. These winds will help to disperse pollutants, yielding Good AQI levels throughout the state.
