Forecast Discussion: Tuesday, September 2 -- A cold front is expected to bring winds on the order of 15 to 20 mph, gusting to 28 mph, to the Spokane area this evening. The strong winds might cause dust to blow on the West Plains, southern Spokane County and the Spokane urban area. Dust is more likely to blow in the Columbia Basin, which will have much stronger winds this afternoon and evening. Showers are likely late tonight. Air quality should remain GOOD today and Wednesday with the possible exception of the aforementioned blowing dust in some areas this evening. /ROWE
