Forecast Discussion: Although there has been more sun on this Wednesday afternoon, ground level ozone concentrations will again remain in the GREEN category as the low levels of the atmosphere remain saturated. On Thursday, a persistent upper low over the Southeast will open up and become more energized by a series of weak disturbances upstream in the mid and upper levels. Frontal and pre-frontal boundaries associated with the more potent approaching system from the northwest will likely be the focal point for scattered coverage of thunderstorms through much of the state. With moisture remaining on the high side and precursor levels very low, ozone production will remain poor. Thus, all zones will remain CODE GREEN on Thursday.
