Forecast Discussion: Monday and Tuesday, moderate and occasionally gusty southerly winds ahead of a slowly approaching low-pressure system will help to disperse pollutants in Louisiana. In addition, partly cloudy skies and scattered afternoon thunderstorms will inhibit ozone formation. As a result, AQI levels will be low-Moderate in Monroe and Good elsewhere in Louisiana on both days. Wednesday, a weak cold front will move through Louisiana, keeping the lower levels of the atmosphere well mixed and dispersing pollutants. In addition, mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers will limit ozone production, leading to Good AQI levels statewide.
