Forecast Discussion: FIRE SAFETY BURN BANS OR RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT FOR MOST AREAS OF NORTH IDAHO. CONTACT YOUR LOCAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT PRIOR TO CONDUCTING ANY OUTDOOR OPEN BURNING. Smoke from wildfires in and around the western U.S. and Canada can move into the area and degrade air quality rapidly. Be aware of changing conditions to protect your health. Dry and hot weather will persist for the next several days. High temperatures in the 90s to near 105 will be common through the weekend. A cooling trend will start off the work week along with the possibility of thunderstorms.
