Forecast Discussion: Air quality forecast northern Indiana issued Thursday, October 30, 2014 for Friday, October 31, 2014 - Monday, November 3. Expect good air quality for fine particulates (PM2.5) for Friday and Saturday as a strong cold front will move through northern Indiana on Thursday night/early Friday morning "ushering in" very cold air for late October/early November. PM2.5 concentrations will increase by Sunday and Monday as temperatures moderate with a change in the wind direction to the southwest by Sunday evening/night and the upper air pattern becomes more favorable for higher PM2.5 concentrations. The next air quality forecast update will be on Monday. Air quality forecast provided by IDEM, Office of Air Quality.
