Forecast Discussion: Air quality forecast northern Indiana issued Thursday, May 28, 2015 for Friday, May 29 - Monday, June 1. After today, Thursday, expect ozone concentrations to return to the good range for Friday and the weekend before increasing again by Monday for the northwest and the north central Indiana regions. Fine particulates (PM2.5) concentrations will generally be in the moderate range through the forecast period except for Sunday when concentrations will improve into the good range. A cold front will pass through northern Indiana on Saturday and move southward into southern Indiana by Sunday morning becoming stationary across southern Indiana on Sunday. The cold front passage will mean good air quality for ozone and PM2.5 across all regions of northern Indiana on Sunday. The next air quality forecast update will be on Monday. Air quality forecast provided by IDEM, Office of Air Quality.
