Forecast Discussion: It will be hot and humid on Sunday, making it feel more like mid-summer than the end of summer. A series of disturbances moving through aloft will trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms, beginning in the evening and continuing overnight. Mostly cloudy skies will limit ozone to the upper Good range, despite the warm conditions. Particles will rise into the Moderate range in response to ample atmospheric moisture. **Extended Forecast: Labor Day will be another hot, humid, and mostly cloudy day, with continued chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Cloud cover will keep ozone in check, while stagnant winds in the morning and abundant humidity will push particles higher into the Moderate range. The sun will return on Tuesday, and the heat and humidity will continue. A cold front will approach from the northwest, and thunderstorms forming ahead of the front will likely impact Delaware in the evening. There looks to be sufficient afternoon sun for ozone to reach the mid-to-upper Moderate range, and particles will reach the mid-Moderate range as well. -Huff
