Forecast Discussion: A warming trend will begin on Saturday and will continue through Monday, bringing some respite from the recent mid-winter-like weather. It will still be colder than average on Saturday, but a shift to southwesterly flow will pump warm and humid air into Delaware, bringing temperatures to about average on Sunday and to near 70 °F on Monday. The arrival of warm air aloft will inhibit atmospheric mixing and allow particle concentrations to rise to the low-to-middle Moderate range over the weekend. Rain associated with the arrival of a warm front will overspread the state from south to north overnight Monday into Monday morning and clean out the atmosphere. This precipitation, in conjunction with southeasterly onshore winds, will reduce particle concentrations to the Good range. **Extended Forecast: A cold front will arrive on Tuesday. Particles will rebound to the low Moderate range until the new air mass is able to fully build in behind the frontal passage. -Huff
