Forecast Discussion: Wednesday, a cold front will move through Louisiana, dispersing pollutants and bringing clean air into the region. In addition, mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers will limit ozone production. Therefore, AQI levels will be Good statewide. Thursday and Friday, high pressure will build over Louisiana, generating light and variable winds that will limit pollutant dispersion. In addition, partly to mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80s to low-90s will enhance ozone formation. While low pollutant carryover from previous days will keep AQI levels Good to low-Moderate on Thursday, AQI levels will be Moderate in most cities on Friday.
