Forecast Discussion: Sunday, partly to mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures will enhance ozone formation in Louisiana. However, light to moderate west-southwesterly winds will help to disperse pollutants, leading to Good to low-Moderate AQI levels statewide. Monday and Tuesday, increasing clouds and scattered thunderstorms will reduce ozone formation. However, light to moderate southwesterly winds will gradually transport a plume of Saharan dust into the region, leading to Moderate AQI levels for particles across the state on both days.
