Forecast Discussion: Tuesday, light to moderate northeasterly winds behind a departing cold front will disperse pollutants and bring clean air into Louisiana, resulting in Good AQI levels statewide. Wednesday, mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures will enhance ozone formation across Louisiana. Therefore, despite light to moderate northeasterly winds dispersing some pollutants, AQI levels will be low- to mid-Moderate in most cities. Thursday, increasing cloud cover and scattered thunderstorms will reduce ozone formation across Louisiana. However, light winds will reduce pollutant dispersion, yielding low-Moderate AQI levels across most of Louisiana.
