Forecast Discussion: Air quality levels continue to be in the GREEN range as showers and thunderstorms push through the region. An upper level trough will push a cold front through NC Thursday and allow drier air to fill in behind the front. This will help clear the skies for Friday and allow Ozone readings to increase into the lower YELLOW range. Higher humidity levels will begin to move back over the region as warmer air from the southern plains slides into NC. Temperatures will push back up into the lower 90s for the weekend but then another trough digs into the southeast and decreases high temperatures back in the low to mid 80s next week. (Bodenhamer)
